Recurring Announcements for Students

Attention all SCS Students: This is your formal invitation to Dance of the Night. For only $5, you get snacks, drinks and a ticket to the ookiest, spookiest night of your life. Dance of the Night will be held Friday, October 18—the first Friday back after break—from 4:00 – 6:30 in the cafeteria. Costumes are not only welcome but encouraged! Just remember to keep them within dress code.


The School for Creative Studies is donating items to Prime Fitness Institute for Bahamas Hurricane relief. Please help us collect diapers, baby wipes, feminine hygiene products, toiletries, clothes, etc. Please bring all donations to the front office by Friday, September 20 at 4:00 p.m.


D&D Club has been rescheduled for today, September 20. Dungeoneers, don’t forget to contact your parents today to let them know! See you tomorrow!


PBIS celebrations are on the way! In order to attend, you cannot have been assigned Gryphon Time, OSS or have any office referrals as of today, Thursday, September 19 moving forward. This applies to ALL future PBIS events.


Attention all seniors: A representative from the admissions office of Fayetteville State University will be on campus Friday, September 20 from 1:00 – 1:45 p.m. in the Student Lounge.


NC A&T will hold their Fall Open House Saturday, September 28 from 10 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Registration information can be found on the high school resource wall and on Ms. Settle’s website.


5th Annual HBCU College Fair will be held Saturday, September 21 at Broughton High School in Raleigh from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. For more information, see the high school resource wall and Ms. Settle’s website.


Attention all high school and middle schoolers!  September 20 (the last day before intersession) from 4:30 – 8:30, a basketball game will be held in the gym. There will be an amazing halftime show performance. It costs $5 to enter, feel free to pay in advance to Coach Barnes.


The Durham College Fair will be held September 29th fron 1pm-3pm at the Durham Convention Center.  Please visit gotocollegefairs.com for registration information.


Very important announcement—Bus #182 is now Bus #24 at the Southern Hub Stop. This is until the end of the school year!


Juniors & Seniors: Prom will be here before you know it! You don’t want to miss out on these superb ticket prices before the first intersession!

Seniors will be $40.00 until September 20.

Juniors will be $55.00 until September 20.

All guests will be $65.00 and all tickets will go up to this price after intersession. See Coach Barnes or Ms. Street for questions.


Attention all Students – This is your friendly reminder that now is the time to shut off your phones and keep them out of sight.  Do not make use of your phones until afterschool.  Thank you.
