Good Evening SCS Families. This is Ms. Price with your weekly message for the week of December 10.
We will still administer benchmark assessments this week. Middle school students will begin with ELA tomorrow after lunch. High school will begin on Thursday. Remember that we use the results of these assessments to plan future classroom instructional planning and to develop lunch, afterschool, Saturday and intersession intervention time as necessary for students. Please encourage students to do their best.
*Class of 2020 CollegeBoard is now offering Opportunity Scholarships. This scholarship DOES NOT require an essay, application, or minimum GPA. Parents of 10th grade students, your child received their official score report and test booklet for the Pre-ACT on Friday, December 7. End of Quarter/Intersession
Monday, December 17 is now an inclement weather make-up day and will become the last day of the 2nd quarter.
The winter intersession for students is December 18 – January 4. Teachers will not be available during the break, so make sure that you are proactive in communicating with them now! This is also important for seniors who are completing college applications…don’t wait until the last minute to ask for transcripts and letters of recommendations!
Have a good evening from all of us at SCS where we practice the 4C’s—Creativity, Communication, Collaboration, and Community.
