All senior parents please continue to encourage your student to make sure Mrs. Settle receives all college acceptance letters and any scholarships awarded to your student. If your student plans to attend college next year it is important to remember to complete the FAFSA and Residency Determination applications. If you need any help with these documents please contact Mrs. Settle. Finally, SCS will be hosting our 1st annual Senior Signing Day for all students who have accepted admission to a college/university or enlisting in our U.S. Military after graduation. This event will be held on May 4th at 2pm. We would love to have our student’s family and community members attend.
Teacher Appreciation Week is May 7-11. We are seeking parent volunteers on Thursday, May 10 to help the administrators with lunch duties so teachers may have a duty-free lunch. We’re about a month away from state testing. In preparation for testing, as our testing is done online, we will begin to collect student laptops on May 7. Most students will test May 24 – May 31. All teacher-made and district Spanish exams will be given May 31 – June 6. Some students with accommodations may have an altered schedule in order to meet their needs. We are always in need of proctors. If you or someone you know are available to assist please contact our volunteer coordinator, Anita Neville in the main office. There are morning and afternoon volunteer opportunities available.
Have a great evening from all of us at SCS where we practice the 4c’s—Creativity, Collaboration, Communication, and Community.
