Weekly Message–May 29-June 2, 2017

Good Evening SCS Families. This is Ms. Price with your Weekly Message for the week of May 29, 2017.

Reminder that school will be closed tomorrow Monday, May 29th in observance of the Memorial Day Holiday. We wish everyone a safe holiday as we honor those who have fallen in military service.

School and end-of-year testing resume on Tuesday. Our students have been well-prepared so please encourage them and let them know that they will do their best as we enter this testing season. Get plenty of rest, eat a good breakfast, and maintain your normal routines. Leave any items that may be distracting to the testing environment at home, this applies especially to fidget spinners. These items will not be allowed in the testing sessions. Also remember that cell phones are not allowed in test sessions and will need to be secured in lockers.

Seniors—your graduation day is almost here! All seniors should have received their tickets and a final packet of information. If you have not picked up your tickets, need graduation announcements or have any questions, please contact Ms. Barnes.

The senior field trip has been canceled due to lack of participation. If you already paid for the trip, your money will be refunded. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Betts.

SCS PTSA Spirit Wear t-shirt orders are in and will be distributed this week! This applies to tie-dyed t-shirts and senior t-shirts.

Parents of 6th graders: Please take note of immunization requirements that will impact rising 7th grade students. Students entering 7th grade are now required to have one dose of Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccine and one dose of meningococcal conjugate vaccine for individuals who have not already received those vaccines. You will have 30 calendar days from the first day of school to provide the required up-to-date immunization record for your child.

Have a great evening from all of us at SCS where we practice the 4c’s—Creativity, Collaboration, Communication, and Community.
