The Mathematics Department of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the student Association of Women in Mathematics chapter are excited to announce a FREE math day camp running from June 13th to 24th, 2016.
The camp is for high school girls (rising 9th to 12th graders) in the triangle area, who are interested in mathematics.
Campers will research the lives and contributions of historical women in mathematics, work on related math problems, and create a blog and podcast series about what they learn.
We would love if you would help us let students and their parents know about the opportunity!
Interested parties can email email@example.com with any questions. Visit girlstalkmath.web.unc.edu for more info and to fill out the application. The deadline to apply is April 30th, 2016. Decisions will be made by May 2nd, 2016.
Girls Talk Math is funded by an MAA Tensor Grant Program for Women and Mathematics.
