The Jordan High School PTSA is sponsoring a Panel Discussion regarding the AP Program on Thursday, January 29, 2015, at 7:00 pm in the Auditorium.  The Panel will consist of Admission Officers from Duke, UNC, and NCCU as well as an AP Teacher, Administrator, and two students.  The purpose of the discussion is to provide insight for students in determining the number of AP courses that are suitable and how local universities view AP courses when accepting students.

For Saturday Academy Students, a reminder notice will be sent home with them so that you can mark the dates on your calendar and ensure that students attend. This is an excellent FREE opportunity for students to get additional assistance with math and literacy skills and general homework help. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Ellison.

AIG Parents if you have not signed and returned your child’s DEP status update, please do so and make sure it is returned to Mrs. Tuck Thomas by the end of the week.

We are in need of proctors for the ACCESS test on February 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 16th. If you are available for the mornings and/or afternoons on either of these dates, please contact Ms. Miglarese.

Parents of AP students, please visit the SCS AIG website for important information about the Advanced Placement program, including testing in May.

The inclement weather make-up day for year-round students is March 23rd. School will be held during normal hours on March 23rd.

Thank you to all of the SCS Families that donated school supplies during our School Supply Replenishment Drive. Our SCS Staff greatly appreciates your generosity!  Also, thank you to all that turned in box tops – you would be surprised how quickly they add up!  Keep clipping, as any number of box tops is appreciated!

Lastly, please remember the special announcements below. The new spirit wear is awesome!  The SCS colors really pop against a black background.  I know all of the students would love to show their SCS pride – and parents too!
