Weekly Message September 22-26, 2014

We conducted our first lockdown drill today. The students and staff did an excellent job in following all of the lockdown procedures and we completed the drill quickly.

Another packet of important information will be sent home with students on Thursday in a brown envelope. Please make sure that you ask your child for this information.

The week of October 20th students will be learning about and celebrating Red Ribbon Week. This week represents taking a stand against alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs. It also means that people all over the country are dedicating themselves to healthy lifestyles. Students will have a chance to create a public service announcement based on what it means to be alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs-free and win prizes for most creative public service announcement.

The last day of the first quarter is Friday, September 26th. Intersession for students is September 29-October 17th. Students will return to school on Monday,  October 20th. Report cards will go home with students on October 24th.

Remember that at SCS, our mission is the four C’s—Creativity, Collaboration, Communication, and Community. Have a great evening and a safe, productive intersession break!
